Laura O’Gorman Schwartz is a queer writer of fiction and non-fiction.  She’s part of the 2024-25 Fiction cohort at the Writers’ Institute at CUNY. Her debut novel The Warmth of Ashes, the first of a science fantasy trilogy, is available on Amazon.

Her short stories have appeared in literary magazines such as The Birmingham Arts Journal, Ruminate Magazine, Wraparound South, The Shanghai Literary Review, The Journal (Ohio State) and Whisk(e)y Tit Journal. And her articles on expat life and travel have been featured in The Wall Street Journal and Singapore American Newspaper.
